Parent and Child Lessons
Adult and Child lessons offer a progressive introduction on learning how to swim and water safety, designed for children aged 4 months to 21⁄2 years old.
Swan
We teach aquatic breathing through pre-warned submersion using the “ready go” system and the natural mammalian diving reflex. You will assist by learning to hold, interact and encourage your child in the correct way, whilst building water confidence in a safe, positive and enjoyable environment.
You are also instructed on basic survival and safety in and around the water and what to do if an emergency should arise.
Duckling
These lessons develop the child’s first water skills. The children are taught simple survival skills, in the form of treading water and recovery to help prepare them for any incident that may occur in and around water.
With the use of buoyancy aids and through play, the children are taught to float, move and become independent in the water.
Learning to swim at an early age reduces the chances of your child developing fears, and will build your child’s water confidence.
